Pogogyne abramsii, Del Mar Mesa, 24 April 2001 Species on left side grows in North San Diego County, while the one on right side grows in South San Diego County and Northern Baja California.

Though separated by only about 20 miles, the two do not overlap (ref. Reiser, Rare Plants of San Diego County, 1994).

Pogogyne zizyphoroides, Jepson Prairie, 12 April 2001 Species on left side grows in the region near Sacramento.  Flower diameter is only about half that of the other three species shown in this table.

Species on the right side belongs to Acanthomintha genus (the other three belong to Pogogyne), but all four belong to the Lamiaceae (Mint) family.
